TERMS OF SERVICE

Allergy notice: The household I live in has a dog. While the dog doesn't touch the suits directly, allergens can move from me and my clothes to the fursuit. Please commission responsibly if you have a dog allergy!
----
By commissioning me, you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions as they are written. It is interpreted by me alone, and is non-negotiable.
Before work commences;
You must be 18 or over to purchase a commission. I reserve the right to cancel your commission if you are found to be under the age of 18 during creation.
I reserve the right to refuse your order if I believe that your character may belong to somebody else, is heavily based on another character or that my skills will not fit your character and complete the suit to your requirement. I also will not make a design that belongs to a copyrighted character, and I will not make designs that are offensive or culturally appropriative.
I also reserve the right to refuse service if you are threatening or rude; if you express or your character represents anti-LGBT, racist, xenophobic, antisemitic or other hateful attitudes; if you engage in or support zoophilia and pedophilia; if you engage in or support Nazism and White Supremacy.I reserve the right to cancel and refund a commission if you express the above at any point during your commission as well.
I will not emulate the style of another maker or creator. When commissioning me, you agree that you are commissioning me for my own style and creation methods.
I do NOT work to deadlines. I do NOT offer rush or priority slots for fees. I am a disabled creator and therefore work fewer hours. I usually work between 28 and 32 hours per week, but you can find up-to-date office hours in my Telegram channel.
You will be given a rough turnaround time when your application has been accepted. Any delays or days taken off will be clearly communicated with you.
Any changes to this Terms of Service that occur while you are on the project queue will be clearly communicated with you.
Payment Terms
Payments will be taken via bank transfer payments only. Instructions on how to pay will be given to you on invoice.
All payments must be given in GBP (Great British Pounds). Some banks may convert your payment for you, but otherwise you will need to convert the GBP value to your local currency before sending.
By commissioning me to complete the required custom order you agree to pay for your commission as follows;
35% initial deposit.
65% remainder, paid off before costume completion.
The transaction process for the initial deposit must be started within 48 hours of the acceptance of your commission slot. I understand that international bank transfers can take several days to process, so those processing times are not included in that deadline. The initial deposit covers the cost of materials and secures your place on the queue.
The 65% remainder can either be paid upfront with the initial deposit, or can be sent in a payment plan, as detailed in the next subsection.
Payment Plans
I allow short-term payment plans from clients who should need one.
If you have discussed paying for your item using a payment plan, you must adhere to the following terms;
The 35% non-refundable deposit must be sent fully and upfront. This covers the cost of materials and will secure your commission slot.
The remaining 65% must be paid in amounts over a period of time as discussed with the client. The costume will not be shipped out until the balance is fully paid, no exceptions. Your completed fursuit will be held at my studio until it has been paid off, if there is balance remaining.
Payment plans must not exceed 4 months, due to my short turnaround time. Projects that require payment plans closer to that 4 months will be put lower on the queue to allow for more time.
Late payments will incur late fees of 2% of the remaining balance per late payment. For example, a late payment on a remaining balance of £2000 will result in an additional £40 charge. Paying on time will help you to avoid these charges.
Cancellation Terms
You may, at any time before completion, cancel your custom order and receive a refund proportionate to the amount of work that has been completed.
The 35% deposit is non-refundable if I have started work on your commission or started buying materials when you cancelled. If you cancel before work has commenced, I will issue a full refund. If you require a refund due to cancellation during creation, I will refund you based on how close to your suit is to being finished. For example, cancellation before I have started any work and after material orders will result in the full 65% being refunded, and cancellation after your suit has been completed fully will mean you will not be refunded.
In the event that I, as the artist, need to cancel your commission, you will receive either;
a full refund if materials have not been bought, or
a 65% refund if materials have been bought, and any project materials and started work shipped to you or another maker.
In the case of a refund being made to a bank not in GBP, additional fees may occur for international transfer and conversion. I will not be held responsible for any loss in this case.
The Creation Process
I require a clear 2-3 view reference sheet or concept art sheet (front/back at least, front/back/side preferred) unless you have requested artistic liberty.
Make sure that you are clear with your requirements on the quote so that you get exactly what you want. Changes to pricing cannot be made while the costume is in progress.
If you submit AI-generated artwork as reference material, you will be blacklisted automatically during the application process. Chaoticreations stands strongly against generative AI.
Your DTD, hand tracings and other measurements must be correct and accurate for a well-fitting suit. Chaoticreations will not be held responsible for ill-fitting costumes due to inaccurate measurements, dummies and tracings.
If I think that something doesn't seem right with the measurements, I will contact you about it and request for you to confirm. If I find that your DTD is poorly made, I will request a new one from you. You are responsible for shipping your DTD to me.
During the creation process, I will send you work in progress photographs over instant messaging or email. Telegram is the easiest way for me to keep in contact with you and deal with any issues that may arise quickly.
Don't be afraid to tell me when you think that something doesn't seem quite right! Errors are almost impossible to fix later down the line.
If I hear nothing back from you regarding the suit, I will continue working as usual towards completion. It is your responsibility to keep on top of communication as much as it is mine.
Be aware that WIPs will be posted to my social media accounts, which include Discord, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. Please let me know if you don’t want me to post your WIPs publicly/if you want to keep your suit a secret.
When your order is complete, I reserve the right to share it on the Chaoticreations social media accounts and website. With fullsuits in particular, I will ask you to take some high-quality photographs when you receive the costume so that I may post some photos of the creation being worn by its owner.
On completion and shipment of your order:
When your item is shipped, you will be supplied with full end to end tracking of your order. The courier we use will depend on the destination of your order.
Shipping costs are NOT included in your quote. I can make estimates before your commission begins, but the true cost of shipping cannot be calculated until after your fursuit has been completed. This cost is your responsibility.
I am not responsible for any import or customs fees that may apply when the fursuit arrives in your country. Please research these to ensure that they will be payable.
If your project is particularly big, you may have to receive it in multiple boxes. Multiple boxes will result in a higher shipping charge.
Repairs:
I offer a 6-month warranty after your fursuit has arrived with you. This repair warranty will include popped/missed seams, inaccurate sizing, failed adhesives, and similar errors. The warranty doesn't cover shipping to and from my workshop, however, so please be prepared for these.
Self-inflicted damage, very large repairs and modifications are not included in the warranty, however, and would require additional charges. These repairs are a case-by-case basis, and I will discern the cost once we have discussed it. My rates for such repairs and alterations are £20 per hour plus shipping costs.
When sending your suit to be repaired, you must make sure that it is fresh and clean. Alterations to your suit that were not made by me may void your warranty (this does not include self-repairs like sewing up holes or gluing where needed).
Once your warranty runs out, if needed repairs don't fit the warranty, or if your warranty is voided, any repairs will cost £20 per hour plus shipping charges.
Disclaimer: Chaoticreations is not responsible for any incident or injury caused by wearing any costume. Make sure you stay hydrated, take regular breaks and have a non-suiter guide you when you walk around in public. Your safety is priority! Your movement will be restricted in a costume mask and your vision will be impaired.
Please wear your suit responsibly and do not use it to terrorise or intimidate.
After commission acceptance, you will be asked to sign a contract version of this TOS. You can view the version you will need to sign HERE.
